Hommes, femmes et enfants furent arrêtés et parqués au Gymnase Japy. Internés au camp de Drancy, ils furent ensuite déportés dans le camp de concentration d’Auschwitz et exterminés dans les chambres de gaz. Pendant la guerre de 1939-1945, les Juifs furent victimes des persecutions nazies. Des rafles massives furent ordonnées à partir de 1941, dont la grande rafle du Vel d’Hiv le 16 juillet 1942.

Men, women and children were arrested and placed in the Gymnase Japy. Interned at the camp at Drancy, they were then deported to the concentration camp at Auschwitz and exterminated in the gas chambers. During the war of 1939-1945, the Jews were victims of Nazi persecution. Massive roundups were ordered starting in 1941, including the huge roundup of the Vel d’Hiv on July 16, 1942.
