Taught the basics of broad pen by his grandfather as a young teenager, Brian’s fascination with penmanship and calligraphy began. Well-known for his beautifully handturned Unique Oblique pen holders, Brian is also an avid calligraphy student. He has taken various calligraphy courses from notable instructors, and continues to develop his abilities in calligraphy.

Brian began designing and building custom calligraphy pens since 2013 and continues to this day. Brian’s pens have been collected and coveted by calligraphers, artists, and collectors all over the world. Brian enjoys both pointed pen and broad edge calligraphy. His current interest is on studying and emulating medieval-style calligraphy, especially old illuminated manuscripts with their ornate embellishments.
