TOKS OJO | Nature - Part One

$0.00

ARTIST | Toks Ojo

BASED IN | Australia, Brisbane

TITLE | Nature - Part One

SIZE | 420mm x 297mm

A well-known quote attributed to the ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu. 'Nature never hurries, yet everything is accomplished.'

The vines and leaves were intended to soften the piece and highlight the gentle insistence of nature, continuing to find its way through and around whatever it encounters.

Simplified Roman capitals and fraktur scripts.

About the artist

Toks Ojo

Toks started his calligraphic journey in 2019, copying a Foundational hand exemplar he had found on the internet -- individual letters at first, then words, and onto quotes. Shortly after, he discovered online workshops which gave him the opportunity to participate in classes with calligraphy tutors all over the world and he has not stopped since. His current work focuses mainly on broad-edge scripts such as italic, blackletter (Fraktur), Roman capitals and foundational hand.
