About the Artist
An artist based in New Forest (South Hampton), UK
Gail Pergande
Gail Pergande is an artist based in the New Forest, Southampton, UK, with a lifelong love for creative pursuits. Although she once hoped to attend art college, she followed an academic path and studied Art History at university. Life grew busy afterward, and her creative projects became occasional—until the Covid period, when a friend suggested she try calligraphy. She was immediately captivated. Gail now works primarily with the pointed pen and watercolor, favouring smaller pieces that allow her to explore muted colours, whimsical subjects, and a deep sense of nostalgia. She often draws inspiration from different time periods, creating work that blends historical influence with personal expression.
