About the artist

Sabine Tack started learning calligraphy in late 2016 after suffering from a stroke as a way to support her recovery and to keep her brain in a learning mode. It turned out to be an enduring passion, and there is literally no day that goes by without her writing calligraphy. She liked it so much, in fact, that she started a podcast about calligraphy in 2018. Loving the versatility of calligraphy, she studied under different teachers over the years, acquiring skills in various hands and styles such as Copperplate, Spencerian, pointed pen Uncial, Italian and various Art Deco variations, to name a few. Sabina also studied related arts and crafts such as illumination, illustration, bookbinding, watercolour painting and even making her own watercolours. In 2018, she was delighted to be invited to share her passion and skills as a teacher at IAMPETH Virtual.
